Rebekah Roberts recently committed multiple acts of dishonor by representing the State of Maine at The Patriot Games in Geneva, Ohio.
For those that don’t know, Trump and Freedom 250 held the first ever Patriot Games this year. The event sees a male and a female from each State compete against athletes from other States for a chance to win $125,000 scholarships.
Rebekah Roberts is from Cornish, NH and attends school at Mid Vermont Christian School. Rebekah Roberts has no affiliation with Maine and is a New Hampshire resident.
Rebekah Roberts clearly identified herself as being from Cornish, NH in her admission video. Rebekah also mentioned that there was a situation at Mid Vermont Christian School where they forfeited a game as a protest to the fact that their was a transgender player on the opposing team. Rebekah Roberts stated that it hurt having to forfeit the game but standing up for what she believed was more important.
So, we have a situation where Rebekah Roberts is claiming that she understands that “doing the right thing” or “standing up for what you believe in” are what matters most…
Rebekah knew the Patriot Games are supposed to be one man and one woman from each State and that she knew she was supposed to represent New Hampshire because she is a resident of New Hampshire. Rebekah knowingly committed an act of dishonor by representing Maine in the Patriot Games. She was fully aware of the rules and feels very strongly about following rules, including previously refusing to play a game due to a trans athlete being on the opposing team, yet she was happy to break the rules at the Patriot Games to benefit herself…
Being a honorable person is something you do 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Rules are meant to be followed at all times and the honorable thing to do here would have been for Rebekah to make a public statement that it is clearly against the rules for her to compete for Maine when she is from New Hampshire and drop out of the competition.
The State of Maine has also been a supporter of trans competing in women’s sports (it is a current argument) so Trump and Freedom 250 were knowingly breaking the rules to use Rebekah as a political pawn and Rebekah still allowed it so really it was a combined effort where Rebekah, Trump and Freedom 250 all conspired together to break the rules of The Patriot Games for political reasons. That does not make it an honorable act… When it comes to Chivalry, Bushido and Bushalry, breaking the rules for any reason is dishonorable.
